Over the past two centuries, Rodenbach has earned its official status a Belgian national treasure and one of the most awarded beers globally. Rodenbach ages its beers in hand-made oak casks (foeders), each with the capacity of 60 wine barrels. With 294 foeders at teh brewery in Roeselare, Belgium, Rodenbach has the largest collection of wood-aged beer in the world.
With the complexity of a fine burgundy, the refreshment of a beer, Brew Master Rudi Ghequire calls Rodenbach "the missing link between beer and wine."
Each ticket includes a full pour of Rodenbach Grand Cru (classic Belgian Sour, 6% ABV) upon arrival and buffet-style small platten, followed by a guided flight tasting of 4 Rodenbach beers, including;
Foeder - 6% ABV, Flanders red ale
Caractere Rouge - 7% ABV, Flemish red-brown ale
Vintage 2015 - 7% ABV, Mixed fermentation, 2 years aged ale
Alexander - 5.6% ABV, Flemish red-brown ale, matured in oak casks for 2 years.
